MyNordstrom is Nordstrom’s employee portal environment, but it is not the same as the company’s customer or applicant accounts. Employees should begin with a Nordstrom-issued workplace link or the Employee Login option shown on Nordstrom Careers, then follow the company’s redirect to the required system.
This independent guide is not affiliated with Nordstrom. It cannot unlock an account or replace the company’s internal HR and technology support.
What is MyNordstrom used for?
MyNordstrom connects employees with internal information and workplace services. A February 2026 Nordstrom benefits overview directs employees to mynordstrom.com and the Nordstrom Benefits Portal for the Employee Benefits Summary Plan Description.
That gives the name a specific meaning. It belongs to Nordstrom’s workforce environment rather than its public shopping website.
MyNordstrom should not be understood as one static page containing every employment function. Nordstrom also uses Workday for internal job applications, ServiceNow for an employee service center, Okta for authentication and SharePoint for protected company resources.
An employee may therefore start in one place and finish in another. The final destination depends on the task.
Pick the portal by what you need to do
The fastest diagnosis starts before the login screen.
| Employee task | Likely Nordstrom route |
|---|---|
| Enter the broader employee environment | Nordstrom Employee Login |
| Review employee benefit information | MyNordstrom and the Nordstrom Benefits Portal |
| Apply for another Nordstrom position | Workday, then Careers > Find Jobs |
| Request workplace service or assistance | Nordstrom employee ServiceNow |
| Open protected internal documents | Nordstrom SharePoint and Microsoft authentication |
| Check an external job application | Candidate Login |
| Review a purchase or return | Nordstrom customer account |
Nordstrom’s careers pages display Candidate Login and Employee Login as separate navigation choices. That visible split is useful because an applicant profile and an employee identity are not interchangeable.
Choose by task first. Skip password troubleshooting until the account type is correct.
Start with Employee Login, not a search-result shortcut
The Nordstrom Careers homepage currently presents an Employee Login option alongside its candidate access. This company-controlled starting point is safer than copying a deep Okta, Workday or SharePoint address from an unofficial tutorial.
A normal route may involve these steps:
- Open the Nordstrom Careers website.
- Select Employee Login.
- Allow the page to redirect to Nordstrom’s authentication system.
- Complete the sign-in process shown by that system.
- Open the required employee application.
The middle page may not say MyNordstrom in large lettering. It may display Okta, Microsoft, Workday or ServiceNow instead.
That can be legitimate.
The useful check is whether the session began from Nordstrom and continued to a recognized company or technology-provider domain. Do not manually edit a long redirect address or save a temporary SAML link as the main bookmark.
Why does MyNordstrom redirect to ServiceNow?
The public address nordstrom.service-now.com/esc is titled MyNordstrom.com in search results. It leads to Nordstrom’s employee service environment rather than a conventional public information page.
ServiceNow is commonly used for workplace service requests and internal support portals. The publicly visible Nordstrom page does not expose its protected tools without the required employee session, so an outside guide cannot verify every menu or service available after access.
A redirect from the employee route to Nordstrom ServiceNow is not necessarily an error. A redirect from an unknown directory to a look-alike page requires more caution.
Verify the spelling:
nordstrom.service-now.com
Avoid pages that place extra words before or after Nordstrom in an unrelated domain.
Why does the login open Okta?
Nordstrom operates an Okta environment and has an application-specific Okta route for Workday. That official Workday address includes an SSO/SAML path, indicating that authentication is passed from Nordstrom’s identity environment to the Workday application.
Employees should not begin at Okta’s generic consumer-facing page and guess the organization name. Okta’s own sign-in page asks users for an organization URL, while Workday says employees should obtain their unique company sign-in link from their employer’s HR or IT team.
Use Nordstrom’s route first. Skip organization-name guessing.
Another practical detail: the address displayed after several SSO steps may contain an application identifier. Bookmarking it can later produce an expired request, a loop or a page that lacks the original destination.
Why does MyNordstrom say JavaScript is required?
Nordstrom’s SSO help page currently displays the message “You need to enable JavaScript to run this app.”
This is a verified browser requirement, not an account-status message.
When that screen appears:
- Confirm that the page is
nordsso.nordstrom.com. - Enable JavaScript for the verified domain.
- Temporarily test without a script-blocking extension.
- Reload the session from the original employee link.
- Keep only one active sign-in tab open.
Do not disable every browser protection at once. Change one setting, retest, and restore it when it was not responsible.
A blank authentication screen may have the same cause. Modern SSO pages can fail to render when scripts, cookies or cross-site authentication handoffs are blocked.
How current employees apply for internal jobs
Nordstrom’s live job advertisements give current workers an exact internal route: log into Workday, select the Careers button and then select Find Jobs. This instruction appears on current Nordstrom postings published in 2026.
That path is important because the public Workday job site serves external job discovery and applicant sign-in. An employee who applies through the public candidate environment may not receive the internal experience described in Nordstrom’s postings.
For an internal application:
- Enter Workday through Nordstrom employee access.
- Select Careers.
- Select Find Jobs.
- Search for the position inside the employee session.
Do this before creating another candidate account.
The listing availability may change, and requirements can vary by location because Nordstrom notes that state-specific legal notices may apply to job postings.
Is Candidate Login part of MyNordstrom?
No. It serves a different audience.
Nordstrom Careers places Candidate Login next to Employee Login, but the two routes have separate purposes. Candidate Login supports people applying through the public careers system, while Employee Login is intended for current workers.
This distinction explains several common wrong-page problems:
- A worker sees job-search fields and assumes they have opened employee Workday.
- An applicant tries to use a Nordstrom customer account.
- A current employee creates a public candidate profile for an internal position.
- A shopper searches “my Nordstrom” and lands on an employee-related result.
Look at the page language. References to open roles, applications or Candidate Login indicate recruiting. References to orders, billing or purchases indicate a customer system.
Neither is MyNordstrom employee access.
MyNordstrom login loops and expired sessions
A login loop occurs when the employee authenticates, begins loading an application and returns to the sign-in page.
Nordstrom does not publicly document one universal cause for every employee tool. A careful troubleshooting sequence is more useful than claiming a single fix:
- Close all Nordstrom, Microsoft, Okta, Workday and ServiceNow tabs.
- Open one new browser window.
- Begin again from Nordstrom Employee Login or the company bookmark.
- Permit the verified site to use necessary cookies and JavaScript.
- Avoid restoring an old browser session.
- Test another current browser when permitted by workplace policy.
Stop after a few controlled attempts. Repeated authentication failures can make the situation harder to diagnose and may trigger additional account controls.
A persistent loop may reflect an application assignment, employment-status change or company-device requirement. Those conditions must be reviewed by Nordstrom’s authorized support team.
New-hire access and benefit enrollment
A 2026 Nordstrom benefits document states that eligible employees receive an email when they become eligible to enroll in medical, dental and vision coverage. It directs workers to the Nordstrom Benefits Portal through MyNordstrom for detailed plan information.
The document does not describe a public employee-registration form.
A new hire should therefore follow the access and enrollment communication supplied by Nordstrom rather than creating a Nordstrom.com shopping account. Eligibility timing, plan options and availability may differ according to the employee’s status and applicable plan documents.
Check the onboarding communication first. Skip third-party pages claiming they can register a MyNordstrom identity.
When no onboarding message is available, use the manager, hiring contact or employee-support route already provided by Nordstrom.
Signs that you opened the wrong page
The wrong destination often looks believable because it uses Nordstrom branding.
Leave the page and restart when:
- It asks you to create a shopping profile.
- It focuses on credit-card management.
- It presents public job-search filters when you need an internal application.
- It asks for a generic Okta organization without a Nordstrom starting route.
- It claims to unlock an employee account independently.
- It publishes internal-looking instructions without citing Nordstrom.
Nordstrom’s Cloud Portal offers a useful contrast. The company-controlled page clearly describes its purpose as managing public-cloud services at Nordstrom and provides a Sign in with Okta option. It is legitimate, but it is intended for a specialized technical function rather than general employee benefits or recruiting.
A genuine Nordstrom page can still be the wrong Nordstrom page.
Frequently asked questions
Is MyNordstrom still used?
Yes. Nordstrom’s February 2026 benefits materials direct employees to MyNordstrom and the Nordstrom Benefits Portal.
Where is the Nordstrom Employee Login?
Nordstrom Careers currently displays an Employee Login option in its site navigation. Begin there or use the workplace link supplied directly by Nordstrom.
Is Nordstrom Workday the same as MyNordstrom?
Not exactly. Workday is one employee application. Current Nordstrom workers are instructed to enter Workday and use Careers > Find Jobs for internal applications.
Why do I see ServiceNow?
Nordstrom’s public ServiceNow employee-center address is identified as MyNordstrom.com. It may be part of an authorized employee-support route.
Can I use the public Workday job site?
External applicants can use Nordstrom’s public Workday careers site. Current employees applying internally should follow the route Nordstrom publishes for workers: Workday, Careers, then Find Jobs.
What does the JavaScript message mean?
The browser cannot run the Nordstrom SSO application as currently configured. Enable JavaScript for the verified Nordstrom SSO domain and reopen the session from the original employee link.
Can Workday reset my Nordstrom employee access?
No. Workday says employees must contact their employer’s HR or IT department for a company-specific link and assistance with pay, tax, time, benefit or job-application access.
Is the Nordstrom customer account an employee account?
No. Shopping, recruiting and employment systems serve different tasks.
The practical route is to identify the task first, enter through Nordstrom’s corresponding employee link and allow that verified page to choose the correct application.
